This iPhone phenomenon is the symptom and not the disease. The Modern Age is infected with a Tech Fetish. Now, I love my iPod because it keeps music portable and accessible. I use the computer quite a lot. But I can sincerely write that I could easily live without them both. My soul needs to be fed things other than gigabytes and wifi.
