I saw this on 3rd Avenue (I think) in the East Village tonight (I “think” because my memory is lacking). I remember when I first learned of this project. My head and heart went THUD. I was disappointed to see how things have just not changed that much since films like “Zorro the Gay Blade” came out.
I have not seen the film, but based on the trailer, I don’t think this film has any solid base to stand upon. There’s nothing like defrauding your employer (who is actually the public in this case) to generate big laughs. And there’s nothing like mocking the turbulent battle being waged over gay marriage. Big fun.
Ugh.
