Tonight I was flipping through the New York Press (an alternative weekly that used to be so much better than it is since they changed management a year or so back) and I came upon a piece by Amy Goodman about the Jena Six and the White Tree. Here’s a link to her story JUSTICE FOR THE JENA SIX.

A comment left on one of my other blog posts informed me that CNN.com has nothing on their website about the Jena Six [with the exception of the video I mentioned in one of my previous blog entries]. That is negligence of a very high order. What the hell are they afraid of? Or are they just too busy fact-checking Michael Moore to cover other news. I guarantee you that the story of the Jena Six would be huge if the Six were white. Remember the Duke Lacrosse story?
UPDATED 28 July 2007: Take a look at the website Color of Change. It looks like a worthwhile organization, especially when you go review their latest campaigns.
There is still nothing at CNN.com except for the video.
