Bite the Bullet Points

Well, where the hell do I begin?

  • U.S. Taxpayer dollars used by the Bush Administration to support Republican election campaigns. I have to admit that this does not surprise me in the slightest. I wonder why it took so long for this story to come to light? Was it because the MSM are too busy with other important news? Sure it is.
  • My government has decided to label as a “specially designated global terrorist” the Revolutionary Guard Corps of Iran. That’s right. The military is broken by the occupation of Iraq, we’ve let the Taliban come back in a big way, but forget all that stuff…Iran! We want to go to war against Iran. Dick Cheney is behind this one. Big surprise. I made myself a promise that I would emigrate from the U.S. if the we attacked Iran without just cause. Please don’t make me do that.
  • CNN.com sucks. So much power and potential and used so irresponsibly. Fires. Mine cave-ins. Britney topless. Nude protesters on a glacier. A muddied wedding dress. Princess Diana. Where are the headline stories about the rush to war, the collapse of our liberties, the death of America? No, we get flotsam instead.
  • I cannot care about the premature Presidential candidate obsession. I am grateful, however, when I read quotes like this one about Dennis Kucinich:

Meanwhile, Democratic Representative Dennis Kucinich, who is again running for president this year, urged fellow congressional Democrats to take decisive action and cut off funding for the Iraq war.

“The Democratic leadership of the House and the Senate must finally live up to their responsibility and the promise they made to voters last year to end this war,” Kucinich told an annual convention of Veterans for Peace in St. Louis, Missouri, on Friday.
